The Le Mans Classic has grown from its first running in 2002 into one of Europe's most popular Classic motorsport events. Over 400 cars, split into groups according to age, and covering Le Mans racing history from the 1920's to the 1970's entertain the crowds on the full circuit. But the Classic is as much about the 7000 plus cars displayed by car clubs of all marques that have Le Mans racing heritage as it is about the on track action.
The atmosphere of the Classic is totally different to the 24 hour race - gone are the antics of the youthful and expectant crowds replaced by the respectful observations of a knowledgeable audience as some of the continents finest classic machinery occupies the public roads.
Our Private Camping area at the Classic is located in the area known as Bleu Sud, a mere 10 minute walk from the action. July holds the promise of fantastic weather at La Sarthe adding to the unique 'Speed Chills' atmosphere that compliments the racing perfectly.
