A partnership between the FIA and the ACO, the World Endurance Championship is the pinnacle of global sportscar racing and offers the drivers the chance to be crowned as world champions - something sure to bring the top names in the sport into the championship as already proven with Mark Webber in 2014 and the likes of Nico Hulkenberg in 2015.
The 2016 FIA WEC features eight rounds - four in Europe, one in North America, one in South America, two in Asia and the season finale in the Middle East.
At Speed Chills, our focus is on the four European rounds starting with Silverstone in April, followed by Spa in May, the 24 hours of Le Mans in June and finally the Nürburgring in July.
We then follow the championship first to the Circuit of the Americas in September and the end of the season in Bahrain in November.
For the 6 hours of Silverstone, our aim is to encourage as many home fans as possible to attend this event - we all need to get behind this championship and see it flourish. For fans travelling from abroad, please contact us as we are happy to assist with your arrangements.
For the WEC 6 hours of Spa-Francorchamps we are offering self-drive hotel and B&B packages. This is one of our favourite events of the year - the trip is worth it just to see this fantastic circuit. Add to that some of the most beautiful racing cars in the world and the desire of the teams to win ahead of 'the big one' at Le Mans and you see why this is an event not to be missed.
The 24 hours of Le Mans needs no introduction. 2014 saw the return of Porsche who won the race on their second start in 2015. All eyes will be on the Porsche/Audi/Toyota battle for outright victory. We offer a full range of self-drive packages covering on-circuit or off-circuit camping (including our Private Camping options) as well as hotels and self-catering accommodation.
Popular with race fans is the 6 hours of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. We will be offering hotel based packages with Virgin Atlantic flights for this event. The circuit is awesome and backed with some good old stateside hospitality it makes for an unforgettable race weekend. Please lodge an enquiry with us if you want immediate notification of the packages.
We then head to the Middle East for the season finale, the 6 hours of Bahrain, a race run into the evening in November. We will again be working with the Bahrain International Circuit to offer hotel based packages to this fantastic event. These offer three nights in a 4* hotel on a bed & breakfast basis and offer simply unbelievable value.
